Our Committees
Gidgee Healing’s Board of Directors is supported by three Committees. They provide advice and recommendations to support the governance of the organisation.
Clinical Governance Committee
The Clinical Governance Committee provides clinical leadership to ensure accountability and encourages ongoing improvement in the safety and quality of clinical care being delivered by the Gidgee Healing team. The Clinical Governance Committee undertakes clinical audits and considers evidence based practice; standards of care; clinical risk and the professional development priorities of the organisation.
Audit and Risk Committee
The primary responsibility of the Audit and Risk Committee is to assist the Board in ensuring that the organisation operates effectively, efficiently, ethically and legally. It does this by monitoring the quality of financial reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements; remaining abreast of Gidgee’s external operating environment to identify and manage financial and audit risks; and effectively managing the organisation’s finances and investments.
Community Advisory Committee
The Community Advisory Committee provides advice around community engagement and cultural protocols, recognising the guiding role that Elders, Traditional Owners, family groups and the broader community needs to play in the planning, delivery and uptake of health and wellbeing services. The Community Advisory Committee provide practical recommendations to ensure community members have a voice and are heard, recognising that the ability of communities to have genuine influence and control is a fundamental to ensuring the services provided by Gidgee Healing across the region align with local needs and priorities.
